There are a lot of books on the History of BC that you can't download, some you can. I don't think they are downloadable though: The Dear Canada books (young adults) by Scholastic might be a possibility. You also need to read about Emily Carr of Victoria. You also need to know the name of Alice Munro (1931 - ) whose ex-husband John Munro lately passed on his namesake bookstore in Victoria on Government Street to his staff. ![]() Other Canadian authors of some significance write about other things, like Margaret Atwood, Carol Shields and Michael Ondaatje - who wrote The English Patient. For non-fiction some of our iconic authors who wrote about Canada are Farley Mowat (1921 - 2014) and Pierre Berton (1920-2004).
